Originally started as a college python project to develop my programming skills but has grown to become a project that I love coming back and improving on. It was used to display my ability to work through a complex project and to learn something new, in this case the graphics Library Pygame.
Project Summary: A simple asteroid game written in Python 2.7 using the graphics Library Pygame.
- Frame interpellation - Framerate and game tick rate are independent. With Framerate interpolation new positions between each game tick.
- Simple particle system
- Vector graphics
- Hit detection
- Different game object types - Engine has objects for GUI elements and sprite elements.
- Pause menu
- Runtime args - Allows for running the game in debug mode, full screen mode and with FPS information.
